We are now recruiting for a Access Control Centre Manager to join us on our major project located near Newbury. Role Working within a team of 3 dedicated Access Control Centre Managers and located in the Access Control Centre, this role co-ordinates all on plant activities, including Operations and Maintenance. Acts as the initial point of contact for all facility visitors and emergency response. Controls access for all personnel working on Plant. Opens up building in the morning. Your role as Access Control Centre Manager will: Approve all Work Authorisation Forms Interface with Daily and Weekly plans Interface with the Site Work Control Centre. De-confliction of breakdowns and notification to WCC. Notify WCC when WAF tasks have stopped for the day or are being worked on outside normal work hours. Handover to Shift in silent hours and notifies Shift if working outside normal work hours. Send completed WAFs to WCC. De-confliction and planning of work fronts. Controls Facility keys. Support complex/facility walkthroughs. Support EO WCC if required. Will be required to develop knowledge of the complex/facility including building layout and the processes carried out within. Assist in the identification of potential hazards in the complex/facility and ensure, where possible, the elimination of such hazards. Perform daily communication checks including telephones to areas where the PA system cannot normally be heard. Support project task authorization levels with the Facility Manager and the task supervision level with the WSO. Update and manages of the Process Safety spreadsheet. Ensure process walk downs and surveillance are within date prior to issuing WAF/SSoW. Provide copies of the WPRA to service providers as required. Coordinate with the WSO to track task progress and any actions taken. Receive and stores the WAF/SSoW as required. Sign off the WAF on completion of the task. Manage and issues radios. Utilize tannoy / clearcall system as required. Qualification / Experience Ideally 3 years site supervision leading teams within the nuclear industry. Recognized training or apprenticeship an advantage. Good standard of secondary education.
