We are looking to recruit a Business Support Officer to work as part of a small administrative team. The successful candidate will work as part of a busy team providing business support to the STAR operational reablement team in Adult Social Care. The STAR team provides an assessment and reablement service for people in Sandwell for a period of up to 6 weeks to maximise their independence to enable them to live at home in the community. They support individuals to get them discharged from hospital quickly and to avoid hospital admission, therefore supporting people to regain and maintain their independence.
Responsibilities:
* Provide business support to the STAR operational reablement team.
* Handle a high volume of front-line calls.
* Support individuals to regain and maintain their independence.
Minimum Requirements:
* Typing/word processing ability to OCR/RSA Level II or equivalent.
* GCSE Grade C in English and Maths or an equivalent qualification.
* At least one year's experience of working within a business support/administrative environment.
* Ability to use Microsoft Office applications.
* Effective prioritisation and time management skills.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
