Overview:
Step into a strategic role driving media procurement and communications sourcing for a major player in healthcare innovation. In this position, you will lead efforts to streamline media spend across various business units while ensuring local market requirements align with global strategies. You'll work closely with internal teams to consolidate needs, execute comprehensive RFP processes, negotiate favorable terms, and nurture key supplier relationships, all while securing cost efficiencies and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Sourcing: Collaborate with global and regional sourcing leaders to design and implement media procurement strategies that bridge local market dynamics with global standards.
2. Procurement Lifecycle Management: Oversee the full cycle from gathering project specifications and launching global RFPs to negotiating contract renewals, rate cards, and discount schedules.
3. Cost Optimization: Drive cost-saving initiatives by managing savings pipelines, monitoring performance metrics, assessing risks, and staying alert to industry trends.
4. Supplier Relationship Management: Lead programs to ensure robust supplier engagement, adherence to procurement policies, and prompt resolution of any issues.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, creative, and data analytics teams to address and resolve media buying challenges, while identifying synergy opportunities across business units.
6. Benchmarking and Compliance: Regularly benchmark practices against industry standards and implement corrective measures when processes fall short of compliance or best practices.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
2. At least 5 years of experience in media planning and buying, with a minimum of 2 years in a procurement-focused role.
3. Demonstrated expertise in procurement strategies, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
4. Proficient in managing diverse media channels, including social, programmatic, display, print, out-of-home, search, and TV.
5. Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills with a track record of managing multiple priorities in dynamic, multicultural environments.
6. A proactive, creative mindset with a drive for continuous improvement and the ability to challenge established processes.
