Job Summary
Dutton Recruitment are working in partnership with one of our valued clients to recruit for a Senior Team leader to join their growing and thriving organisation. The company was established in 2010 and from then have gone from strength to strength providing support to over 120 individuals across South Yorkshire with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs. They provide support to both adults and young people in respite care, 24/7 support packages, supported living, outreach and children's support packages. Due to the ongoing growth of the company my client is looking to recruit a Senior Team Leader who will be responsible for managing a staff team of roughly 30-40 staff across Sheffield. The team will consist of a Team Leader, Seniors and support workers who will work as a team to ensure the highest quality of support across the services in your area. The role is Monday to Friday 9-5pm as a rule but you must be able to be flexible around the needs of the business and take part in the on call Rota.
Duties
Lead and manage a team of support staff, providing guidance and support to ensure adherence to care and support plans.
Supervise daily operations across your services, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with the service manager to develop and implement individualized support plans.
Drive initiatives that enhance the quality of life for clients, promoting their dignity and independence.
Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, address concerns, and foster a collaborative environment.
Monitor staff performance, providing constructive feedback and facilitating professional development opportunities.
Conducts appraisals, supervisions and competencies for the team leader and senior support workers in your services, these in turn will conduct supervisions and appraisals on the support staff.
Manage your patch of services, being the point of contact for any emergencies.
Being part of the on call Rota which is shared with the managers and senior management team.
Ensuring the highest quality and standards are meet across the service, updating risk assessments and support plans and ensuring outcomes are monitored, met and evidenced.
Meeting staffing levels and production of rotas for the service.
Providing a professional and approachable culture demonstrating best practice and encouraging and developing others in the team.Skills
A car driver and owner is essential

Proven experience in senior care/team leader position in a similar setting and looking for development.
Strong understanding of support plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with staff, residents, and families.
Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and managing documentation.
Ability to drive initiatives that improve resident satisfaction and overall service quality.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in supervising daily operations.This really is a great opportunity for someone from a support background who has supported people with learning disabilities and complex needs, has some experience of managing a team and wanting to develop.
