Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement production strategies aligned with organisational goals, focusing on efficiency, sustainability, and innovation.
2. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce environmental impact.
Team Leadership:
1. Recruit, train, and manage a skilled production team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
2. Provide guidance and support to team members, promoting a culture of accountability and excellence.
Quality Control:
1. Implement and oversee quality control measures to ensure the production of high-quality, sustainable products.
2. Work closely with quality assurance teams to meet and exceed industry standards.
Health and Safety:
1. Establish and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a secure and compliant work environment.
2. Regularly conduct safety audits and training sessions to promote a culture of safety awareness.
Budget Management:
1. Develop and manage production budgets, optimising resource utilisation and minimising waste.
2. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or sustainability.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. A degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
2. Proven experience in setting up and managing production systems within the sector.
3. Extensive background in manufacturing assembly, particularly within heavy plant/agricultural industries.
4. Demonstrated commitment to sustainable practices and a deep understanding of environmentally friendly production methods.
5. Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing and motivating teams.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to think strategically about production processes.
7. Familiarity with industry regulations and standards related to environmental sustainability and safety.
8. Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
