Responsibilities
of the Procurement / Category Business Partner:
- Support the execution of procurement plans across in-scope expenditure
- Develop the implementation of procurement systems and solutions
- Lead high level procurement initiatives including Tenders, RFP’s and negotiations
- Provide SME procurement input and expertise to enable the development of Category Strategies
- Manage relationships with key suppliers
- Keep abreast of developments within supply markets
Background of the Procurement / Category Business Partner:
- Solid background in Procurement with good all round experience across a variety ofmercial verticals (HR, Marketing, Technology, etc) essential
- Experience working within financial services essential
- Experience dealing with large budget and/or high risk spend / categories
- Experience working within a large global business essential
- A solid level of financial literacy is essential, able to understand profit & loss, balance sheets, cash flow etc
- Happy to work in the Edinburgh office on a hybrid basis each week
