Base Location: London and Manchester plus network of 20 offices nationally.

Within The Deal Execution Advisory Team function we are a team full of subject matter experts, responsible for providing best in class support on everything from developing acquisition strategy and raising funds, through to making the deal and integrating the acquisition.

The Deal Execution team is part of KPMG's rapidly expanding Strategy Group, which delivers value for clients by challenging conventional thinking, bringing deep industry and functional insights and executing with investor-grade rigour. We are a diverse team of over 150 practitioners, working collaboratively with and orchestrating KPMG's broad set of capabilities within our Deal Advisory business, and are focused on continually enhancing value for clients across the deal and economic cycle.
What will you be doing?
1. Liaise effectively with clients while working on engagements and act as an 'ambassador' for KPMG.
2. Design and run small projects and/or large, complex workstreams with limited oversight.
3. Produce client-ready deliverables that exceed expectations and require limited review.
4. Develop solutions to complex problems and challenge the thinking of more senior colleagues and clients.
5. Contribute to thought leadership and knowledge management activities.
6. Construct detailed financial/business models performing complex scenario and sensitivity analysis.
7. Ensure the firm's risk management frameworks are adhered to.
8. Be a strong effective team player.
9. Provide timely feedback and coaching to other team members.
10. Support practice development activities to ensure successful delivery of initiatives.
What will you need to do it?
1. Experience working in a leading strategy house, Big 4 firm, public sector organisation or strategy/development team in industry.
2. Strong foundational understanding of the value drivers.
3. Previous experience of project management roles and responsibilities.
4. Exposure to client environments and working with stakeholders at various levels.
5. Experience of leading project workstreams and taking responsibility for small teams.
6. Prior involvement in business development activity and ability to contribute to thought leadership and knowledge management initiatives.
7. Ability to build complex financial models that support our recommendations to clients.
8. Ability to understand how business model decisions impact operating model design/execution across operations, technology, risk governance and organizational design.
