Job summary A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced and highly motivated persons to undertake a joint role between the West Yorkshire and Harrogate (WY&H) Cancer Alliance and one of the six ICB places in WY&H (Bradford & Craven, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds, Wakefield and Harrogate. The Alliance, as system leaders for cancer, drives the change needed to achieve the ambitions, providing an opportunity for different ways of working to improve and transform cancer services. Our focus is also on leading transformations at scale to improve survival, early diagnosis, patient experience and long-term quality of life to patients and people affected by cancer. You will be responsible for the implementation of the programme, proactively engaging at a senior level with a wide range of stakeholders, provider collaborative WYAAT, national improvement leads and bodies, external stakeholders and will include managers, analysts, clinicians and commissioners. As well as the delivery of the programme requirements; raising awareness and understanding, reducing barriers, building effective partnerships with project stakeholders to encourage collaborative working to improve services and performance outcomes where there may be resistance to change Main duties of the job Working as part of the Cancer Alliance and in Place, the post will focus largely on key national and local priorities; including supporting the Cancer Alliances strategic objectives. You will be a key member of a delivery network including corporate and clinical leaders. You will focus on those areas of cancer transformation which require a leadership presence in a primary care delivery setting. This will require significant involvement with community, primary care and hospital service providers. You will operate as part of the wider ICB developing and maintaining effective working relationships with related programmes. You will proactively engage with national, regional, and local networks and Alliances seeking out opportunities for collaboration and to share learning.
