Buckinghamshire Building Society is seeking a driven, self-motivated individual to join our Mortgage Sales Team as a Telephone Business Development Manager. In this dynamic and varied role, you will be a key member of the team that serves as the primary contact for brokers on all new mortgage enquiries, including Decisions in Principle (DIP) for the Society. The core responsibilities of the Telephone Business Development Manager include:
* Serving as a primary point of contact within the team for all broker enquiries related to new mortgage loan criteria.
* Managing Decisions in Principle (DIP) within the authorised mandate.
* Developing and maintaining broker relationships to drive growth from targeted brokers.
* Meeting established targets to expand the mortgage portfolio, aligning with the Society’s strategic goals.
* Attending in-person and virtual events to support the Mortgage Sales team.
* Collaborating with the Mortgage Administration and Underwriting teams as needed to ensure mortgages are processed efficiently and on schedule.
* Assisting the Key Account and Business Development Manager team with ongoing broker relationships and contributing ideas for marketing our offering to the broker community.
The Person
The ideal candidate will have/be:
* Previous experience gained within a mortgages department and in dealing with brokers (essential)
* CeMAP qualification – levels 1, 2 and 3 (desirable)
* Excellent attention to detail
* The ability to multi-task, manage and prioritise own work loads, work under pressure and deliver SLAs
* Good knowledge of MCOB, MCD and general regulatory requirements
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels (broker to board)
* The ability to assimilate information and make timely accurate decisions
