As a BMS System Design Energy Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the energy efficiency and performance of buildings through the maintenance and improvement of Building Management Systems (BMS). You will work closely with building operators and clients to maintain and improve BMS solutions that improve the comfort, safety, and sustainability of buildings. Your expertise in energy management and control systems will contribute to reducing energy consumption, optimizing operational efficiency, and minimizing environmental impact.
You will report into our Southern Regional Service Team working on customer sites across the region. In this role, you will have a significant impact on the energy performance of buildings, helping our clients achieve their sustainability goals and reduce operating costs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement energy-saving strategies, conduct energy audits, and analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement. Your technical knowledge and problem-solving skills will be essential in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to BMS functionality and performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Maintain and improve Building Management Systems (BMS) to optimize energy efficiency and operational performance.
2. Conduct energy audits and analyze data to identify energy-saving opportunities and develop strategies for improvement.
3. Collaborate with building operators and clients to ensure successful maintenance and improvement of BMS solutions.
4. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to BMS functionality and performance.
6. Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients and internal teams on energy management and control systems.
7. Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in energy management and building automation.
8. Provide technical support to the sales team during the pre-sales process.
9. Collaborate with the sales team to develop and deliver product demonstrations and presentations.
10. Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional products and services to existing customers.
YOU MUST HAVE
1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as engineering or related field.
2. Energy qualification IPNVP.
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience in energy engineering or related roles.
4. Strong knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) and energy management principles. Experience in maintaining and improving BMS solutions.
5. Proficiency in energy auditing and data analysis.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
