Network Technician – LAN Engineer
Location: Stevenage
Our purpose is to make the world more sustainable by building trust in society through innovation. As a 3rd line Network Engineer, you will contribute to this by collaborating with committed people to deliver a high level of service to a global LAN network.
Your role will involve:
1. Taking ownership of complex incidents and progressing them through to resolution.
2. Liaising with 3rd party engineers to troubleshoot issues.
3. Small to medium-sized project work and investigating service improvements.
4. Live network monitoring and cataloging change requests.
Your transferable skills and experience:
* Strong desire to learn and upskill.
* Strong technical knowledge of networks, network security, and their configuration, particularly with Juniper technologies.
* Must understand Juniper EX LAN switching products and SRX firewall solutions.
* Must have a strong understanding of the 7-layer OSI model, specifically layers 1 through 4.
* Cisco or Juniper Certifications and knowledge of wireless and firewalls are desirable.
