Support Worker

Responsibilities:
1. Encourage the people we support to make their own choices about everyday things such as what to wear, what to do, what to eat, as well as bigger decisions such as where to live, how to spend their money or where to go on holiday.
2. Enable the people we support to fulfil those choices, including structured activities which help each individual develop their confidence and skills.
3. Assist the people we support in meeting their responsibilities such as paying bills, looking after their homes, being good neighbours, and keeping in close contact with friends and family.
4. Support the people we support to be involved in company-related activities such as training, recruitment of new staff, and attending house meetings.

1. Support individuals in carrying out normal household tasks.

4. Support individuals with their intimate personal care with dignity and respect.
5. Exhibit good communication skills that can be adapted to suit the situation.

7. Possess good written skills and the ability to record events with empathy and meaning.
8. Have a basic ability to use a computer to keep simple records and find information.
9. Demonstrate good observational skills.
10. Work effectively as part of a team.
11. Adhere to consistent standards.
12. Make decisions and follow them through.
13. Be creative and organized.
14. Manage and record finances.
15. Possess the ability to drive and use your own vehicle.
