Are you a skilled fab/welder? Quest Employment has an exciting opportunity for you! Our client based in Burton Latimer is looking for a dynamic fab/welder to join their fantastic team on a temporary to permanent basis.
Duties will include:
1. Fabricating extruded and folded materials and bonding welds using MIG or TIG processes.
2. Following specifications, drawings, and instructions to produce high-quality products in line with the daily plan.
3. Cutting, punching, and folding materials to the required specifications.
4. Bonding material using MIG or TIG welding processes or gluing processes.
5. Lining welded components to prepare for painting.
6. Using hand tools and undergoing further training on processes to gain product knowledge.
7. Supporting first off inspections to confirm setup and accuracy.
8. Contributing to developing a right-the-first-time culture.
9. Reporting any errors from feeding processes.
10. Performing operator maintenance and housekeeping as required.
11. Maintaining expected housekeeping standards.
12. Assisting in the quality investigation process.
13. Supporting the training of others on processes you are competent in.
14. Accurately completing timesheets and seeking clarification from supervision when in doubt.

11. Only using equipment for which you are trained.
12. Following the SSOW documentation.
Experience Required as a Production Operative:
1. Minimum 12 months experience of working in a busy weld production environment would be an advantage.
2. Level 2 BTEC / NVQ in welding.
3. Further developing knowledge and understanding of general engineering processes.
4. Ability to use measuring equipment.
5. Able to read and understand engineering drawings to produce quality parts would be preferred.
6. CNC Machine Programming experience would be preferred (training will be provided).
