The Role: As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the students' educational and emotional needs. We are seeking an individual with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to supporting children with severe autism.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored educational programs.
2. Provide one-on-one and small group support to students.
3. Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
4. Work closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure each student's needs are met.
5. Encourage and support students in their personal and social development.
What They're Looking For:
6. Previous experience working with children with severe autism is highly desirable.
7. A caring, patient, and adaptable approach.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
9. The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
10. A sense of humour and a positive attitude-because the SLT believe having 'Bounce' is key!
Qualifications:
11. Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) or equivalent experience.
12. A passion for supporting students with additional needs.
