Internship Objective:
The Fremont Moo has opportunities for current college-level students looking to gain experience for a career in the sports industry. Interns will have a unique opportunity to gain exposure and knowledge of all operational components of the Fremont Moo. Many previous Moo Interns have launched their careers in the sports industry after their immersive internship with the Moo. Interns, regardless of specialty, provide input and ideas to improve the Moo organization. We welcome interns' ideas and input. Applicants should be studying a subject in a relevant field such as, but not limited to, Sport Management, Business, Human Resources, or Marketing. This position could also include students interested in performance entertainment.
Description:
Do you love to put on a show? Do you love to keep people entertained? This position will maintain the responsibility of directing the show at the ballpark every night, from the national anthem to on-field promotions and activities, to in-stadium music and PA scripting. Reporting to and learning from the General Manager, this position will allow the applicant valuable learning experience towards a career in the sports promotion field.
General Team Responsibilities:
* Expected to be available for all Fremont Moo home games.
* If there is not a game on a weekday, you will be expected to attend office hours each day.
* Requires ability to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
* Collaborate with the intern team with ideation, planning, and execution of Moo initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Each game night is a show, with many parts and moving pieces. This position will coordinate all the entertainment and promotional aspects of Moo Baseball, including but not limited to:
* Coordination and distribution of game-day giveaways.
* Pre-game on-field recognitions, including National Anthem, ceremonial first pitches, and starting lineups.
* Learn and help manage customer relationship management software.
* In-Stadium entertainment, including between inning on-field promotions and contests.
* Scripting of the Moo mascot for in-game activities.
* Coordination of in-stadium and community outreach activities.
* Scripting of PA announcements, music, and in-stadium activities.
* Assist with creation of marketing collateral.
* Attend player/mascot/organization appearances.
* Research new marketing initiatives and promotional ideas.
* Coordinate and book all pre and in-game activities/guests.
* Assist with execution of social media campaigns including scheduling content.
This position will work closely with the stadium operations team to ensure brand continuity and positive fan experience from game to game. In addition to your specific area of focus, all interns will have the opportunity to work with staff to gain experience in other areas as well. This position will give you an immediate step towards a career in sports and entertainment management. Please be prepared to start on or about May 15.

* Experience in entertaining and/or performing.
* Well-organized – we are a lean and efficient organization and need to stay organized to be successful.
* Goal-oriented – like the players, the front office will set goals and use them to measure our success.
* Ability to multi-task and work independently – we all chip in, and we need people who are self-starters and eager to contribute to the Moo mission.
* HS Diploma and work towards a college degree required.
* Candidate must be prepared to work home game days and other stadium events during the season.
About the Organization: The Fremont Moo began playing in 2019. Each team in the league operates similar to a professional minor league team, providing players an opportunity to play under the same conditions using wooden bats, minor league specification baseballs, experiencing overnight road trips, and playing nightly. The environment for fans is family-friendly and community-focused.
The Fremont Moo have won 2 league championships in the first 5 seasons of existence. Moo Baseball is more than just a baseball game. In fact, many of our fans don’t attend our games just for the baseball game. They come for the fun promotions, theme nights, daily specials, food/drinks with friends, family, or colleagues, and overall entertainment value the Moo and our business partners provide.
Compensation: All interns will receive a monthly stipend to assist with travel and living expenses. Housing may be available with a host family. All interns receive free food, tickets, and many more perks.
Credit: College credit towards a major, minor, or general elective may be earned and is desired. There are educational and work components to this position.
