An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Centre Manager to join a leading automotive service provider at their Brandon site. This full-time, permanent role offers a competitive salary ranging from £30,000 - £33,000, depending on experience. The working hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm, with a half-day finish on Saturdays.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and train the team to provide excellent customer service.
* Ensure the team is effective, productive, and motivated .
* Work collaboratively with the team, peers, and store manager to improve business performance .
* Maximise profit and turnover through operational excellence.
* Assist the store manager with cost control, margins, and cash collection .
* Plan and execute strategies to meet KPIs while empowering the team to deliver.
* Oversee key merchandising activities and ensure strong stock management routines .
* Build relationships with customers and local traders to enhance business opportunities.
* Proactively engage with customers to enhance their experience.
* Support the store manager to ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures .
* Conduct MOT inspections to defined standards.
* Perform administrative duties as required.
* Undertake any additional responsibilities (within reason) for the efficient running of the store .
What You'll Need:
* MOT certification (Class 4 or above) .
* Experience in MOT testing and mechanics .
* At least 2 years of supervisory experience within the retail sector.
* A passion for improving performance, driving sales, and delivering high standards of customer service .
* Strong relationship-building skills with both customers and colleagues.
* Experience in a fast-fit car centre or a recognised vehicle franchise dealership .
* Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using tools.
