First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic business who are looking to recruit a Field Operations Manager on a permanent basis due to growth to be based in the Midlands area but with frequent UK wide travel.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Analysing operations and staff performance – nationwide.
* Ensure full utilization of field staff minimizing unproductive pay.
* Oversee warehouse and fleet management (North and South).
* Liaising with different departments to develop improvement strategies and constantly strive for Operational Excellence.
* Develop a close relationship with the planning team to maximise operational effectiveness in the deployment of site staff.
* Developing and implementing various quality control methods.
* Scheduling training sessions and workshops for new and existing staff members.
* Setting targets and business goals and working alongside the team to achieve these.
* Providing guidance and mentoring to field staff.
* Ensuring all processes are compliant with the relevant company employment rules, procedures, and regulations.
* Observing existing staff and operations, and developing strategies for improved efficiency and profit, as well as cost reduction.
* Dealing with customer complaints in association with field staff or delivery.
* Customer relations and problem solving.
* Attend pre-start site meetings and client review meetings as required.
* Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way, within budget.
* Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices.
* Help the organisation’s processes remain legally compliant.
* Formulate strategic and operational objectives.
* Manage budgets and forecasts.
* Perform quality controls and monitor field production KPIs.
* Recruitment of field staff, onboarding and day-to-day management.
* Staff performance management, including disciplinary procedures.
* Proactively develop ways to increase quality of customer service.
* Supporting development and introduction of new field services and products.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven work experience as Operations Manager or similar role.
* Knowledge of organisational effectiveness and operations management.
* Experience budgeting and forecasting of people resources.
* Familiarity with business and financial principles.
* Leadership ability.
* NEBOSH or equivalent.
* Strong understanding of industry guidelines and regulations – i.e., TR19 Grease/Air & HSG274.

Salary: £50,000pa.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday – (Flexi hours available) but will require working both day and night shifts.
