The Software Solutions department in Elekta provides software consultancy for customers in region Europe. The Software Upgrade Project Manager is responsible for the project management of software upgrades.

Would you like to be part of our driven global team, where we aim to attract and invite the best competences to Elekta? We are offering you an exciting opportunity to join our Service Team which is located in the United Kingdom and across Europe.
In this exciting and diverse role, you will expect to be first and foremost a good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and dedication to our customers. Technical knowledge of the product including the hardware on which it runs through to the use of the application’s software is required and it is expected that the individual will be self-motivated enough to maintain and update this knowledge.
This role requires hybrid working in any of the Elekta offices in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, or Crawley, the United Kingdom. Travel will be expected throughout the region for onsite meetings.
This is a maternity cover full-time role for 12 months with a possibility to extend on the need basis.
Responsibilities
* Hold kick-off meetings with customers and/or distributors remotely or onsite.
* Ensuring that the customer is fully aware of the implications of any upgrade work being undertaken before that work commences. Provide and maintain all documentation required to support a software upgrade.
* Being available as required to take calls from customers, Elekta engineers and Distributors pertaining an Upgrade.
* Escalate to management any technical issues that are likely to become significant, including potential issues preventing new software rollouts.
* Always ensure that Business Units and distributors are kept updated with progress of any issues being dealt with.
What you bring
* Degree level or have relevant experience in related field.
* Experience in project management or planning technical IT projects.
* Strong computing and IT knowledge.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to effectively interact with customers.
* Ability to Travel up to 20%.
* Ability to work in a team environment.
* Flexible and accommodating approach.
* Ability and desire to promote Elekta’s professional image.
