Role: Speech & Language Therapist Banding: Band 8a Location: Maidenhead Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: £58,000.00 per annum The AHP team at Pulse is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Therapies to lead our dedicated team of therapists, including Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Art Therapists. In this pivotal role, you will drive the development, optimization, and innovation of our therapy services, ensuring they align with our school's objectives, ethos, and teaching practices. Your main responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist: You will work autonomously as a speech and language therapist within a multidisciplinary team. You will assess how a person’s communication impacts their daily life and provide appropriate interventions. You will collaborate with the person and their social network to overcome barriers and problem-solve. You will develop and implement communication management plans and rehabilitation, seeking specialist assessments as needed. You will provide training to staff and the social networks of our service users. You will play an integral role in service and organisational develop. What we are looking for in a Speech and Language Therapist: HCPC Registered: Essential for this role. Leadership Experience: Strong leadership skills with experience in operational management within therapies. Commitment to Inclusive Education: A deep commitment to inclusive education, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and a passion for working with pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Autism. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor, coach, and inspire your team.
