EDS Engineer Location: Gaydon Employment Type: Contract, Inside IRD35 Hours: 40 per week About the Role We are seeking a skilled and motivated EDS Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, development, and delivery of Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) for cutting-edge vehicles. This position involves collaborating across multiple business functions to ensure cost, weight, quality, and performance targets are met. Key Responsibilities Delivering vehicle EDS solutions in line with technical and design requirements. Identifying key EDS standards and maintaining VEPS trackers. Setting up and managing RMDV for EDS development. Supporting the end-to-end delivery of the EDS commodity, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Collaborating with Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Special Vehicles, and external suppliers. Managing cost, weight, and functional performance of EDS components. Skills Required Strong technical expertise in EDS design and development. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and adaptability to company-specific systems. Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to present confidently to diverse audiences. Self-starter mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Experience Required Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams. Strong technical problem-solving skills and knowledge of system validation processes. Familiarity with change control and product definition processes. Background in automotive engineering design, development, and delivery. Previous knowledge of systems such as WERS, AIMS, RMDV, and ECRs (training can be provided). Education Degree in Engineering or a related field (preferred but not mandatory). Why Join Us?
