Description
Maldon District Council is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Animal Welfare & Control Officer to carry out a range of tasks relating to our statutory duties in relation to strays and assisting with the inspection of animal-related licensed premises.
About this role
* Act as the Council's qualified Animal Welfare Officer for the discharge of provisions relating to stray dogs found within Maldon District.
* Investigate complaints, provide specialist advice, and undertake enforcement in relation to statutory nuisance and anti-social behaviour related to animals.
* Facilitate and manage the stray dog kennelling service contract.
* Undertake the inspection and issuing of licences within the Animal Welfare Licensing Regulations, Zoo Licensing Act, and the Dangerous Wild Animals Act.
