As Head of Inpatient Services, you will take the helm of our Inpatient Unit and support in the development of respite services, leading a multidisciplinary team and ensuring we continue to deliver the very best care. This is a senior leadership role, reporting directly to the Clinical Services Director, where you’ll provide strategic and clinical leadership, drive service improvements, support and develop your team’s professional growth and ensure our patients receive the highest standards of care. Your work will not only impact patients but also provide guidance and support to their families.
Main duties of the job
1. To provide senior clinical and professional leadership to staff, patients and their families for advice, assistance, and support.
2. To be accountable for the oversight of optimum quality patient care within the area of an 18 bedded Inpatient.
3. To be responsible for the coordination of safe, high quality focused care to improve patient, family and staff experience whilst ensuring visible clinical leadership and that high professional and clinical standards are maintained.
4. To have the overall responsibility for the line management of the senior nursing structure within the identified service and will work as a key member of the Senior Team to influence continuous improvement across Clinical Services in the interest of patient care.
5. To work alongside the Director of Clinical Services, Head of Community Services, Education department and the Clinical Quality and Safety Lead to implement policy and procedure, working in collaboration to interpret and advise on National policy and guidelines, whilst ensuring compliance across the Clinical teams.
