Job Title: SEN Educational Support Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teaching assistant to support a student with special educational needs in a primary school setting. As a valued member of the team, you will work closely with the student, providing them with personalised support to help them achieve their full potential.
This is a part-time role for 3 days a week, where you will be working one-to-one with the student. Your key responsibilities will include supporting the student's learning, managing challenging behaviour, and developing a positive relationship with the student.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the student's learning by assisting with lesson preparation, delivering small group instruction, and reinforcing concepts.
* Manage challenging behaviour by de-escalating conflicts, providing emotional support, and promoting a safe and respectful environment.
* Develop a positive relationship with the student by building trust, encouraging independence, and celebrating successes.
Requirements:
* Experience working with students with special educational needs.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
* Basic understanding of child development principles.
