Job Title
We seek a seasoned School Chef Manager with a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences and outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate will oversee catering and service operations for Chartwells on a part-time basis, contracted to 22.5 hours per week.
This role requires a skilled professional who can ensure seamless kitchen and service counter operations, manage staff, maintain high standards of quality, safety, and hygiene, and foster positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage daily kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and inventory control.
* Lead and motivate a team of chefs and support staff to deliver excellent customer service and achieve operational excellence.
* Implement and maintain high standards of health, safety, and hygiene in the kitchen and across all service areas.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement strategies that drive business growth, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a senior chef or chef manager in a similar environment.
* Exceptional culinary skills, knowledge of nutrition, and ability to create innovative menus that cater to diverse tastes and dietary requirements.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
* Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks, managing multiple projects, and meeting deadlines.
Salary Information:
The salary for this position is approximately £34,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
