We are looking for an Administrator to join our Wadhurst Medical Group administration team, to provide a specialist resource for patients within our practice in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team. Job responsibilities will include: Triaging, scanning, coding and workflowing clinical letters in line with practice protocols. Accurately summarising and coding relevant information into patients’ electronic healthcare records. Monitoring generic email boxes and actioning emails in a timely manner. Photocopying documentation as required. Completing new patient registrations and dealing with registration queries. Completing referrals sent by the clinical team, in order of urgency, ensuring that where appropriate, the correct service is chosen in the NHS e-Referral Service (e-RS) and blood results or any other require information are sent with the referral. Booking appointments for patients where further investigations are required. Sending Advice and Guidance requests on behalf of clinical team members and ensuring responses are saved on patients’ electronic healthcare records and communicated to the referring clinician. Monitoring and actioning e-RS worklists. Managing queries from patients regarding referrals. Processing death notifications and completing medical examiner/coroner referrals in line with practice protocols. Undertaking routine tasks sent by clinical team members. Supporting the reception team when required. Taking the post to the Post Office at the end of every day. Supporting the completion of any private work that comes into the practice from either patients or external organisations (e.g. insurance companies). Providing support and advice to trainee GPs, locums and regular GPs regarding referral pathways. Building relationships with GPs, Locums, Nurses and other clinical and non-clinical practice staff, and providing any other administrative support as required, in line with the needs of the practice.
