A manufacturing demand Planner required to work day shift in Bridgewater 8.30am-4.30pm.
Salary up to 38,000 per annum plus bonus twice a year plus subsidised canteen.
This role reports to the operations manager and is one of the five functions of the operations team.
The MPS Planning Team Leader is responsible for leading and working with a team of MPS Planners processing orders through the business, assessing capacity constraints posed by incoming demand, aiding production in evaluating order patterns and highlighting possible areas of concern, helping production in its efforts to remove bottlenecks and arrears, supporting production heads where required and provide relevant data/updates to the S&OP team.
Ensuring that all commercial enquiries and orders are processed through the ERP system in an appropriate time frame. Maintaining accurate records of Orders, Export movements and Military documentation for auditing purposes. Managing and monitoring the performance level/costs of our freight forwarding companies.
Must have experience using SAP and Excel.
1. Tasks and Responsibilities
1. Oversee the team entering sales orders onto the ERP (our internal planning system).
2. Aiding the expediting of orders and giving status feedback on capacity issues.
3. Oversee the team producing and collating daily manufacturing orders through the ERP system.
4. Answering admin emails.
5. Help resolve documentation issues.
6. Managing the team releasing Rapid / Expedited production orders.
7. Highlighting purchasing supply issues affecting production.
8. Order chases sending early warnings to SCM and CSC advising of order delays.
9. Supporting general data entry and admin.
10. Responsible for developing and increasing the relationship within the Marketing companies in terms of communication and service.
11. Responsible for monthly reporting and KPIs.
12. To complete and/or produce intercompany surveys.
13. Join Sales and Operation calls arranged by Global Supply Chain.
14. Liaise and communicate with other departments.
15. To continuously monitor for improvements and efficiencies within the department.
16. Monitor on-time delivery and production lead time.
17. Responsible for the MPS Planning Team.
18. Perform regular 1 to 1's with the scheduling team members.
19. Assess and instigate training requirements for the team.
20. Perform annual PEP's and mid-year reviews.
21. Manage the workload of the team members.
22. Contribute towards business improvements and manufacturing excellence projects.
2. Education and Experience
1. GCSE Maths & English.
2. IT and Data inputting experience.
3. Relevant industry background in a similar role.
4. Experience in Manufacturing production planning.
5. SAP experience.
6. Leadership experience.

4. Geography to cover and Travel requirements
Based on site at Bridgwater. Some travel may be required to visit other sites, in the UK and abroad. Must have the right to work in the UK.
