Deliver new product designs from concept to finished products ready for manufacture.
Key responsibilities include:
* Develop new products according to customer and internal requirements.
* Ensure NPI milestones are met.
* Develop gauge/checking fixture concepts.
* Support dimensional maturation of injection-moulded parts.
* Assist with quality-related issues within the manufacturing team.
* Identify root cause and instigate corrective actions for product/process quality issues.
* Carry out product and process auditing.
* Ensure control plans and documentation are implemented effectively.
* Ensure compliance with the Quality Management system.
* Report on Key Performance Indicators.
* Assist with first off sample approvals.
* Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement.
* Participate in cross-functional teams in the development of new products.
* Participate in the development and refinement of Design and Process FMEA's.
* Support and lead process improvement activities.
* Write reports and present progress at project meetings.
Required skills include:
* DipQ or HNC an advantage.
* Proven experience in tier 1 or OEM automotive quality.
* Good working knowledge of IATF16949 and VDA standards.
* Extensive knowledge of core tools and GD&T principles.
* Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and FMEA.
Candidates will need to demonstrate a history of leading new program introduction to OEM level on major programs at interview.
