Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting for a Production / Project Engineer on behalf of a world-leading manufacturer based in the Sheffield area. This role plays a key part in supporting continuous improvement across production processes, managing capex projects, and driving automation and robotic initiatives. As the Production / Project Engineer you will: Lead and support plant engineering projects, delivering on time and to budget Optimise production through automation and robotics support Identify and implement health and safety improvements across existing processes Manage introduction of new assets/machinery including specification, commissioning and ramp-up Contribute to cost reduction initiatives and LEAN/6 SIGMA projects Provide engineering support to production, helping improve delivery performance and product quality Lead continuous improvement activity across site, using LEAN, SMED and 5S methodologies Support and coach production staff to build technical competency Maintain strong safety culture – lead audits, risk assessments and site engagement Ensure compliance with all H&S legislation and company standards Work cross-functionally to resolve technical, EHS and quality issues Manage procurement of project-related equipment, tooling and consumables To be considered for the Production / Project Engineer role, you will need: Previous experience in a similar production, manufacturing or project engineering role Strong knowledge of robotics, automation, and industrial machinery Proven track record in project management and continuous improvement Experience applying LEAN, 5S, Six Sigma or similar methodologies Excellent safety awareness and understanding of HSE regulations A hands-on, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills This is an outstanding opportunity to join a global organisation where you can own your personal growth and make a tangible impact across a key manufacturing site.Please get in touch with Katy Emmott for more details.
