This position is for immediate start but can be flexible for the right candidate
OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
1. Membership management, administration, recruitment & retention
2. Representing the interests of Structural Timber Association (STA) members at Operations Meetings
3. Managing the STA finances with Xero software
4. Support Operations team with event organisation
5. Manage the STA Office
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Developing strategies to keep existing members engaged and renewing their memberships
2. Maintaining accurate membership records and databases using Wordpress, CRM & Xero
3. Liaise with digital support contractors in maintaining functionality and accuracy of STA website
4. Meet and greet members at ‘in person’ events
5. Organise events including webinars
6. Provide support and assistance to members, addressing inquiries and concerns
7. Generating reports on membership metrics and presenting them to leadership
8. Collaborating with Operations Team to develop membership growth strategies
9. Building relationships with current and potential members & industry partners
10. Staying informed about industry trends and best practices in membership management
11. Bookkeeping, invoicing & payments using Xero
12. Subscription management, payments & debt collecting
13. Provision of regular financial reports using Xero and Microsoft Office and assisting management in the preparation of quarterly forecasts
14. VAT & Corporation Tax payments
15. Payroll & pension administration
16. Liaison with STA accountants & auditors
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
1. Must have a knowledge in working alongside industry bodies
2. Must have a minimum of 3 years experience
3. Have a broad understanding of the products and services that STA members offer
4. Must have a rudimentary understanding of the working of the construction industry and the key stakeholders within the supply chain
5. Must be able to demonstrate good business management skills
6. Must be competent with Xero accounting software & Microsoft Office
7. Have good understanding of bookkeeping and basic accounting
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
