Locala Health and Wellbeing social enterprise has a proud history of delivering outsourced NHS and local authority healthcare contracts and in order to accelerate our social impact, as set out in our Thrive strategy, we are looking to diversify our sources of income and deliver higher margin opportunities, we are therefore seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Director to join our team.
This is a critical leadership role within our member-owned organisation and as the Commercial Director you will be accountable for leading a team, growing profitable revenue, revenue diversification, outsourcing strategy and delivery, contract negotiation, key customer relationships, marketing and brand development in order to maximise our social impact for our communities.
This role requires exceptional leadership, sales and communication skills and proven ability to achieve challenging targets. This position is responsible for driving revenue growth across diverse markets and overseeing the strategic development and execution of the sales function for outsourced government contracts and Business to Consumer and Business to Business products and services.
Within Locala we have created an enterprise team across finance, services and business development, a team that is working closely to align our growth strategy with our purpose and company objectives.
You will have creative problem-solving skills and will excite, engage, and develop this enterprise team and your business development, customer account teams, marketing and communications, and health inequalities teams to create a high-performance winning culture.
We are looking for candidates with demonstrable commercial experience, and a network to match, to reflect the breadth of opportunities being pursued as we deliver our Thrive Strategy: market entry and product development, acquisitions, joint ventures, outsourcing, commercial due diligence, equity investment, raising finance, sales process, customer acquisition and retention and brand development.
Through inspiring leadership and credibility of impact, you will:
* Analyse market trends and competitor activities, converting market insight into margin accretive executable growth opportunities
* Develop, drive and be centre of excellence in our brand and communication internally and externally
* Lead identification and tendering of outsourced public and private sector tenders, commercial modelling, commercial strategy and negotiation and joint venture structuring.
* Be jointly responsible with the finance team for our annual Business Planning process
* Lead, motivate, and coach a team of outsourcing, B2C and B2B lead generation professionals, business development managers, and marketing executives
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a go-to-market strategy for our future healthcare services, drive sales initiatives and support with effective mobilisation and stabilisation of new services
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and customers, including clients, partners, and industry influencers
* Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to meet challenging targets, stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive innovation and competitiveness
* As a member of our director team, you will be jointly responsible for the culture, ways of working, performance, and efficiency of all divisions and directorate wide function.
* Serve as an advocate for Locala, representing its values and commitments, deputising for the Executive Director internally and externally as required
We are looking for a leader with exceptional communication and influencing skills, who has the ability to motivate teams and gain consensus at all levels within the organisation.
