Key Responsibilities:
1. Trimming & Fitting: Accurately trim and fit pre-formed composite components using hand tools, jigs, and power tools, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings and tolerances.
2. Surface Finishing: Carry out surface preparation such as sanding, cutting, polishing, and finishing of composite materials to achieve the desired surface quality.
3. Assembly: Assemble composite parts into sub-assemblies or full vehicle builds, ensuring correct fit, alignment, and functionality of components.
4. Bonding & Sealing: Apply adhesives and bonding agents for the secure joining of composite materials. Ensure proper sealing of components where required.
5. Quality Inspection: Inspect finished parts for defects, including surface finish, fit, and structural integrity. Correct any minor imperfections and report major issues to the supervisor.
6. Tool Maintenance: Maintain all tools and equipment used in the trimming and fitting process, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
7. Health & Safety: Follow all health and safety guidelines, particularly those relevant to working with composite materials such as carbon fibre or fibreglass, and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
8. Collaboration: Work closely with production engineers, q...
