Hemisphere are looking for a new team member in the role of European Manager within our busy European department.
The role will involve:
Our European Logistics team are responsible for providing solutions and managing the logistics operations of any products moving throughout Europe via dedicated vans, trailers, or through groupage services.
We are looking for a candidate with the ability and strategy to drive our European Team forwards through building strong partnerships, services, and competitive pricing with suppliers ensuring we can compete and grow in this competitive area of Logistics. We are looking for a candidate who can also demonstrate value-adding logistics solutions to existing and prospective customers, in order to retain and grow our customer base.
* Responsible for departmental strategy for continued development, and to meet company goals/targets
* Team Management, training, and development.
* Implementing best in class processes and solutions to allow for continued operational effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
* Building and maintaining client relations for new and continued business
* Promoting HFS European, and wider customer services to new and existing businesses
* Developing Supplier relationships to ensure both a great service and price for HFS and our Customers.
* Proactive approach to new opportunities with a focus on continually developing our European services.
* Staying up to date with regulations and adapting our processes and client’s processes to meet the new requirements.
* Compliance and Auditing of both internal and external performance.
You will need to have:
The below experience and skills will give any applicant an advantage. We are looking to grow a team with varied experience and skills, some of what we are looking for are:
* Experience and strong capabilities in people management/leadership
* Strong background in European Trailer Logistics with the ability to build partnerships, commercial opportunities, and best in class operational processes to drive growth, customer service, and efficiency.
* Excellent knowledge of European Customs, related procedures, and documentation.
* Competent decision maker with the ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines and targets.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to think outside of the box and provide solutions to challenges/opportunities.
* Exceptional ability to manage, support staff members and work as part of a team.
* High levels of Customer Service skills.
* Strong levels of communication with customers
* Ability to work as part of a team, and strong ability to work with other departments and department managers across the business.
* Demonstrate a high level of accuracy, self-motivation, and organisation.
* A good understanding of Incoterms.
* Able to create and present customer/internal presentations, proposals, reports etc.
