About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Ramsgate.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out mechanical fault finding on various equipment, including pumps, gearboxes, lathes, grinding machines, and boring machines.
* Perform machine strip downs and rebuilds as required.
* Conduct planned and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure smooth operations.
* Undertake mechanical installation work, including pipe fitting and machine moves.
* Identify and rectify electrical faults on both single and three-phase systems.
* Complete electrical installation work, including panel building.
* Program temperature PID controllers for optimal performance.
* Execute safe isolation and lockout of equipment during maintenance activities.
* Prior experience working within a mechanical or electrical maintenance engineering environment is essential.
* You will have a proven track record of performing repairs on CNC machines, NDT machines, electro-plating machines, or paint spraying machines.
* Familiarity with electrical systems, including single and three-phase configurations, is necessary.
* A strong background in maintaining plant equipment is required.
* Ability to undertake general fabrication work, encompassing both mechanical and electrical aspects.
* You should be able to read and interpret electrical and mechanical technical drawings.
* Proven ability to fault find on electrical and mechanical systems is crucial.
* Excellent analytical, fault-finding, and problem-solving skills are required.
* You should be well-versed in relevant software applications, such as CAD, MS Office, and MS Project.
* Strong organization and planning skills are necessary to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary range of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, along with flexible working hours to accommodate your needs.
