Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support and guidance to secondary school students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
* Create individualised learning plans to meet the specific needs of each student.
* Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to help students progress academically and develop key skills.
* Collaborate with teachers and parents to monitor student progress and make necessary adjustments to support their learning.
* Assess students' strengths and areas for improvement to inform lesson planning and learning strategies.
Minimum Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
* Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
* Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs.
* Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions.
* Strong understanding of SEN requirements and best practices.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs.
* Organisational skills to manage multiple students and their learning plans effectively.
Desirable Qualifications
* Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs.
* Experience using assistive technology to support SEN students.
This role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis in a secondary school setting. The tutor will need to travel to the school in Redhill, Surrey, and collaborate with teachers and parents to support students with SEN.
