Robert Half are delighted to be supporting a professional organisation in Cheltenham on the recruitment of a part-time Financial Controller to join the team. Our client of roughly £10 million turnover is looking for an experienced Finance professional to come in and be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company.
This is a part-time role, of 3 days per week (or equivalent) to be based in the heart of Cheltenham, with parking available on site.
Responsibilities of the Financial Controller will include but not be limited to:
* Oversee financial operations including all budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
* Manage ledgers, finance systems and cash flow, including bank account maintenance.
* Prepare quarterly/annual financial statements and support year-end statutory accounts.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and liaise with external auditors.
* Implement financial controls and procedures, working with stakeholders on reconciliations.
* Line management of an Assistant Accountant.
* Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely payments.
Your Profile:
1. Strong proven experience in a similar Finance position.
2. Professional accounting qualification is preferred, but not essential.
3. Experience using Xero accountancy software is highly advantageous.
