We are searching for an experienced Import Clerk to join our clients operations department and play an integral part in helping to support the business as a whole by ensuring internal and external customer expectations are met.
This position would be suitable for an experienced Import Clerk (1 year + experience) with knowledge of Air and/or Ocean Freight.
Duties:
1. Arranging shipments from start to finish, Air/Sea and Road Freight
2. Customs entries
3. Ensure customer service workload is prioritised and order changes are communicated promptly
4. Full training on in-house computer system including communication internal and external
5. Ensure quality and quantity of work is at a high level at all times
6. Liaise with the customer on system related issues
7. Always maintain a high standard of housekeeping
Candidate Requirements:
1. Own Transport required due to limited access to office premises by Public Transport
2. Good attention to detail and high level of accuracy
3. Cargowise experience preferred
4. Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
5. Customer focused
6. Good time management
7. Ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines
8. High level of PC literacy
Mon - Fri 9am - 5.30pm
