Public Law Family Solicitor – Dudley
A well-established and reputable law firm with a strong presence across the Black Country, known for its commitment to client care and excellence in legal services, is seeking a Public Law Family Solicitor to join the team.
This Family Law department is highly regarded, with a team of experienced and passionate professionals dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for clients.
The Role:
The firm is currently seeking a Legal Aid Family Solicitor with 1–2 years Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) to join its busy and supportive Family team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor with a genuine interest in publicly funded family law to grow their career within a respected and progressive firm.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing a caseload of publicly funded family matters including:
o Care proceedings
o Child arrangements
o Domestic abuse injunctions
o Divorce and separation
* Attending court and representing clients at hearings
* Liaising with clients, counsel, and external agencies
* Preparing legal documents, statements, and bundles
* Ensuring compliance with Legal Aid Agency (LAA) requirements
* Providing empathetic, clear, and practical advice to vulnerable clients
Requirements:
* Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 1–2 years PQE
* Previous experience handling Legal Aid family law cases is essential
* Sound knowledge of family law, especially care proceedings and public law matters
* Excellent communication and advocacy skills
* Organised, proactive, and able to manage a varied caseload
* A strong team player with a commitment to providing high-quality client service
