About the role
We are looking to recruit a Head of Digital Engagement to join our Digital and Content team and lead two of our key mass engagement channels – organic social media and email.
As Head of Digital Engagement, you will lead and inspire our social and email teams to create best-in-class communications that support our mission, brand and strategy. We will look to you to bring your creativity, leadership skills and channel expertise to ensure email and social media are engaging, impactful and reach our target audiences. You will create growth in channel reach and advise on strategic campaigns as well as ‘business as usual’ activity. You will also identify opportunities to exploit emerging platforms and tactics, while maintaining speed and agility on reputational issues. We’ll need you to be data-driven and confident in reporting channel and campaign performance and ensuring continuous improvement.
We’re looking for someone with:
* Experience in a ‘head of’ or similar team leadership role.
* Significant knowledge & experience of social media, demonstrable agility in responding to platform and algorithm changes for growth and retention.
* Strong experience of developing/delivering email strategy.
* Experience in developing/delivering organic social & email strategy to support major campaigns
* Experience of complex, integrated campaigns/projects.
* Experience of managing suppliers/budgets.
* Deep understanding of email and social insights, metrics and KPIs and experience of data-driven decision making.
* Experience handling crisis communications & reputational issues.
* Strong collaboration, communication, relationship management and influencing skills.
* A creative mindset and agility to tackle the challenges and changes a changing digital landscape brings
Benefits, rewards & location
The salary for this role is £56,297 - £60,000pa dependent on experience. We also offer a full benefits and rewards package including:
* Annual leave starting at 26 days a year, rising one day each year to a maximum of 31 days plus bank holidays

This role is hybrid and you’ll be required to be in the office 20% of your contracted hours. The job is based at our UK head office, the Living Planet Centre in Woking, Surrey. The Living Planet Centre is one of the greenest buildings in the UK, and you’ll hot desk among trees and gardens.
