Responsibilities
* Design complex instrumentation, PLC systems, communication networks, and plant SCADA systems required for a project.
* Create P&ID drawings, panel drawings, loop drawings, O&M manuals, etc.
* Fully design, document, build, integrate, startup and complete a complex plant automation design.
* Collaborate with clients to define project requirements and develop project plans.
* Develop and maintain long-term client relationships as well as be a team player with members of the ITAC team.
* Manage and lead a team of engineers and technicians in the design, implementation, and commissioning of control systems.
* Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
* Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.
* Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
* Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including subcontractors and suppliers.
* Provide technical guidance and support to project team members.
* Ensure the timely and accurate completion of project deliverables.
* Travel throughout the United States is required, approximately 10% of the year.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in municipal (water / wastewater) automation projects including design, and project management skills from project conception to completion.
* Experience with Biogas and Filter Membrane processes is a plus.
* Must have extensive knowledge and experience in water and wastewater plant processes.
* Proven track record of successfully managing complex control systems projects from concept to completion.
* Strong knowledge of control system design principles and practices.
* Experience with process automation and SCADA systems.
* Experience in programming PLCs, such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Schneider Electric, is a plus.
* Experience with HMI graphic screen development is a plus.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
* Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
* Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
