Senior Community Care Worker Location: Swadlincote Hours: 37.5 hours per week (including every other weekend) Pay Rate: £12.70 per hour Job Overview As a Senior Community Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care and supporting a team of carers to ensure the best outcomes for service users. This role involves both hands-on care duties and leadership responsibilities, including training, supervision, and quality assurance. Key Responsibilities Care & Support Duties: Provide personalized care and assistance to individuals in their homes, supporting with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration. Ensure a person-centered approach, tailoring care plans to meet individual needs and preferences. Monitor and respond to changes in service users' conditions, ensuring concerns are escalated appropriately. Training & Staff Development: Complete medication competencies with both current and new care staff to ensure safe and effective administration. Support new carers by providing on-the-spot training and ongoing guidance in delivering high-quality care. Act as a mentor to junior staff, fostering a supportive and knowledgeable care team. Quality Assurance & Supervision: Complete spot checks on care staff to assess their performance and adherence to care plans and company standards. Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, medication administration, and any changes in service user needs. Liaise with healthcare professionals, family members, and other key stakeholders to ensure coordinated care. Requirements: Previous experience in a caregiving role, preferably with supervisory responsibilities. A Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards one) is desirable.
