Associate/Principal Structural Engineer – Healthcare

Your new role
As our new Associate Structural Engineer, you will support the growth of the UK Healthcare Team. You will be working with our existing team, focusing on projects in London and South East England, but with opportunities to support healthcare projects throughout the UK and globally. You will have a focus on technical delivery and an excellent understanding of client care.
Your key responsibilities will be:
* Lead, develop and manage a team of Structural Engineers
* Raise the profile and reputation of the UK Healthcare Team
* Develop and oversee structural concepts and design philosophies
* Inspire and enthuse the engineers and technicians on your projects
* Liaise with clients and collaborators, representing Ramboll at project meetings
* Support key accounts and develop new clients
* Support UK Healthcare team sector business development strategies
* Produce high quality fee proposals
* Implement best practice procedures to enhance and maintain delivery of sustainable, zero carbon, innovative and quality advisory and design services
* Manage your own projects and act as structural engineering project manager to allocate resources and co-ordinate tasks

* Must have demonstrable experience with UK Healthcare sector projects, such as the building of hospitals within the UK
* Educated to a degree level or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
* MIStructE or MICE and a thorough understanding of digital design delivery through Revit/BIM 360
* Excellent and demonstrable project management skills, with the ability to run multiple projects of varying size and complexity
* Understanding of project commercial and technical risks
* Excellent communicator capable of explaining complex technical concepts in plain language, verbally and in writing
* Able to motivate and inspire confidence both internally and externally across geographical borders
* Able to work autonomously on all technical aspects of the discipline
