Children’s Social Worker – Locality Team (CP/CIN/LAC)
£36.65 per hour | 36 hours per week | Inside IR35

Sefton Council is recruiting experienced Children’s Social Workers to join our Locality Team, supporting children and young people who are subject to Child Protection (CP), Child in Need (CIN) plans or are Looked After Children (LAC). Key Responsibilities:

Manage a diverse caseload within CP, CIN, and LAC
*
Undertake holistic assessments, care planning, and reviews
*
Maintain timely and accurate records using LiquidLogic
*
Work in partnership with families, carers, and multi-agency professionals
*
Represent the local authority at multi-agency meetings and court, where required
*
Ensure all work adheres to statutory guidance and best practice frameworks

Requirements:
*
Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
*
Minimum 2 years’ post-qualifying experience in statutory children’s services
*
Skilled in risk assessment, planning, and direct work

Able to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
