They are now seeking a Director to join their Cost Management team in Yorkshire to lead and grow a key section of the business.
The role
They are looking for a Cost Director to lead on some of the most exciting projects in the region across the public and private sectors. There is a great opportunity to work with a number of their leading clients, along with a strong project pipeline of work providing both job security and sustained career progression.
They are keen to support those looking to grow both personally and professionally, and provide the opportunity to lead and grow a key division of their business.
Key accountabilities:
* Assisting on feasibility studies and writing procurement reports
* Estimating and cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost plan
* Tendering and procuring, including managing the pre-qualification stage
* Dealing effectively with post contract cost variances and the change control processes
* Taking personal responsibility for making cost checks and carrying out valuations on larger projects and in all cases ensuring that timely and accurate cost checking and valuation takes place
* Producing monthly post contract cost reports and presenting them to the client
* Inputting into value engineering
* Negotiating and agreeing final accounts
* Interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages
* Leading a section of the cost management team, ensuring that they deliver on all of the above accountabilities

Experience and skills:
* A proven track record of delivering high quality cost management/quantity surveying services across the full project lifecycle across any sector (sector specific training to be provided)
* Professionally qualified (RICS or similar)
* Degree or HNC level qualification
* Contract Management experience (NEC3, Option C preferred)
* Experience of working on major programmes and projects
* Ability to successfully manage and prioritise more than one project at a time
* Leadership
Business development to include;
* Identifying opportunities to develop new business with new and existing clients
* Assisting in the production of bid documentation
* Financial management – Ensuring prompt client invoicing and utilising FMS in order to monitor a project’s financial status
