The role
Our client, a leading organization in the events industry is seeking an ambitious, results-driven Senior Sales Manager to spearhead the growth of a new B2B initiative. Working closely with senior leadership, you’ll drive revenue, cultivate industry relationships, and position this as a must-attend experience in its sector. Someone with the vision and drive to grow alongside the initiative, taking on greater responsibility as it scales. You’ll have full support, but need to be a proactive, commercially minded professional ready to make a real impact.
Key responsibilities
* Work alongside the Senior Portfolio Director to develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that drives exhibitor and sponsorship revenue.
* Identify and develop new business opportunities, building and managing a strong pipeline of potential exhibitors and sponsors.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, decision-makers, and existing clients to drive long-term revenue growth.
* Drive lead generation, outbound prospecting, and follow-ups to ensure revenue targets are achieved.
* Conduct client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to secure high-value partnerships. Collaborate closely with marketing and operations teams to align sales efforts with event positioning, visitor acquisition, and overall business objectives.
* Manage the full sales cycle, from initial outreach to contract negotiation and post-sale relationship management.
* Keep up to date with industry trends, competitors, and market developments to identify potential growth areas. · Attend relevant industry events, networking opportunities, and competitor shows to develop new business leads.
The ideal candidate
The ideal senior sales manager has a strategic mindset, a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets, and experience selling across partnerships, sponsorships, and digital opportunities. Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills are essential, along with confidence in lead generation, business development, and managing complex sales cycles.
