Endoscopy Assistant Waiting List Co-ordinator
We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable individual to join the team as an Assistant Waiting List Coordinator within the Endoscopy Admin Team. This interesting role will include efficient management of several waiting lists.
This is a permanent, full time 37.5 hour per week post. Flexible working will be considered, including 9 day working fortnight.
You will require excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to manage your own workload. You should also have previous administration experience and a good knowledge of the current access and RTT targets.
Use knowledge and experience of NHS booking systems to deliver appointments within NHS diagnostic waiting time targets in accordance with individual patient need, waiting list standards & Trust Access policy.
To maintain the various administrative work streams of the Endoscopy Booking Team and provide support for endoscopy nursing staff and senior clinicians.
To make decisions on a number of situations, often at short notice, using judgement and analytical skills. This may include requests for immediate cancellations/rearrangement of lists from clinical staff or senior managers, whilst taking into account Trust priorities and patient clinical needs.
To use the PAS systems to direct book appropriate appointments for patients using knowledge of clinical requirements to book patients into the correct appointment slot and to ensure PAS patient contact details are checked, maintained and updated at all times.
To work on own initiative to organise and manage the administration workload of the Endoscopy Booking team, taking into account management, directorate and clinical instruction, adapting to ever changing priorities.
