We’re looking for dedicated Practice Nurses to bring their knowledge and enthusiasm to join our team at Rosedean Hourse Surgery.
What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have experience managing patients with a variety of long-term health conditions, demonstrate adaptability to change, and be confident working autonomously. They should be eager to work within non-traditional care systems and committed to continuous learning and skill development.
A willingness to undertake role-relevant training and support the wider nursing team is essential. You will bring a passion for empowering patients to live healthier lives, using your expertise in health prevention, screening, and the early management of long-term conditions.
Practice Nurse Essential Responsibilities will involve:
Venepuncture
Blood pressure
ECG
Height/Weight/BMI
Health Promotion
Childhood and Adult Immunisations
Wound Care
Contraception
Cervical Screening
Spirometry
Long-term condition management such as Diabetes, COPD, Asthma
Some experience of long-term condition management and cervical screening is essential.
The successful candidate must:
Registered with the NMC
Degree in Nursing
Substantial Practice Nurse experience
Evidence of ongoing CPD
Minimum of 1 Long Term Condition diploma
Have knowledge of patients with long term conditions
Be familiar with Patient Group Directions (PGD’s) and associated policy
Produce accurate, contemporaneous and complete records, consistent with legislation, policies and procedures.
