Salary: Basic salary $95,000 - $150,000 (negotiable based on experience)
Bonus: Excellent Bonus Scheme giving OTE $120,000 - $200,000

Company Overview: Mercury Hampton is working exclusively with a world-leading, well-established manufacturer of complex engineering and scientific training equipment. The USA is a key market for our client, and you will join a successful established sales team. You will be a dynamic new business development professional with a proven track record of selling complex engineering solutions.
Responsibilities:
1. Sell a range of world-class training and educational equipment to scientific, engineering, technology, and medical education establishments.
2. Understand the sales process within academic institutions and effectively sell complex technical equipment to Professors, Lecturers, and education buyers.
3. Conduct regular customer visits throughout the sales region, requiring extensive travel.
4. Work closely with a team of internal engineers for technical support during the sales process.
The Candidate:
1. External technical sales experience.
2. Ability to self-generate new business sales and map out the sector.
3. Experience with technical engineering and scientific training equipment, preferably in a university or college setting.
4. Background in selling technical products into Universities and research institutions.
5. Understanding of University buying procedures and protocols is advantageous.
6. Sales management experience or senior business development experience is preferred.
7. Ability to accurately forecast and manage budgets.
8. Strong pipeline management and closing skills.
9. Engineering or Science Degree or relevant experience.
10. Strategic thinker with exceptional relationship-building and account management skills.
11. Ability to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
12. Excellent communication skills to engage with various levels of stakeholders.
13. A proven track record in business-to-business sales.
14. Dynamic attitude and enthusiasm for sales.
15. An engineering qualification is advantageous but not essential.
16. Extensive product training will be provided.
