Family Law ParalegalExcellent opportunity for a Family Paralegal to join a modern and vibrant private practise firm in London on a 12-month contract basis.The successful candidate will support the firm's lawyers on day-to-day client matters and administrative tasks.Paralegals are responsible for managing their own workload and keeping solicitors informed of their capacity and availability to complete additional tasks.Responsibilities: Preparing bundles (electronic and/or paper) for Counsel and CourtCollating enclosures to Forms E and other financial disclosureReviewing disclosureEngrossing willsDrafting lasting powers of attorneyAttending conferences with Counsel and meetings with clients and taking notesLiaising with Court officials and Counsel clerks by telephone and emailUsing the online portal to submit financial consent orders and draft divorce petitionsUpdating correspondence or other documents in tracked changes with solicitors' amendmentsEngrossing letters, collating attachments and sending correspondence by email, post and DXSetting up correspondence files for new clients and maintaining electronic filingDrafting the firm case update each weekAssisting with general office administration as needed including, drafting emails, setting up meetings, booking couriers, sending post, collecting the DX and archiving. Essential requirements: The successful candidate will ideally have prior paralegal experience in a busy firm and have completed the LPC or BTC, where applicable. They will also have knowledge of the intermediate features of Microsoft Office applications and Adobe.The role involves a number of responsibilities and, therefore, we are looking for proactive candidates with drive and enthusiasm. The successful candidate should be able to manage their workload and prioritise effectively.
