Job overview
To support the busy ward with day to day administration duties and support nursing staff with day to day queries relating to patients bookings or appointments. Provide a comprehensive administration service and ensure the day to day admissions are actioned in a timely manner.
Main duties of the job
1. Booking of patients to the ward for the admission
2. Telephone calls and queries that may arise
3. Queries from the nursing team relating to patients appointments
4. Filing/scanning of documentation in case notes
5. Booking of CAS clinic and ensuring all notes are available for the clinic
6. Book transport for patients
7. Any other duties deemed appropriate
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
1. Book all patients to the ward in a timely manner and ensure case notes and any documentation is available for the duration of the in-patient stay
2. Book all discharges for follow up review (where required)
3. Book the CAS clinic and ensure all notes are available for the daily clinic
4. Queries/telephone calls
5. Filing/scanning

Qualifications
* NVQ level 2/equivalent
Experience
* Previous experience in a caring role
Skills
* Ability to communicate clearly in written & spoken word
* Ability to develop effective interpersonal relationships with colleagues in the Healthcare setting
* Basic Computer Skills
