An exciting opportunity is available for an enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated public health Specialist Dietitian
Everyone Health is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our Tier 3 weight management team to provide a Tier 3 weight management obesity service for patients in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
The key functions of the role are:
* The successful candidate will join our Tier 3 team (Nutritionist, Nurse prescriber, Health Psychologist and Physical Activity Specialist) and be responsible for the nutrition and dietetic management of Tier 3 patients with complex obesity and associated comorbidities. You will be responsible for managing a caseload and delivery of virtual group sessions to patients. You will carry out one-to-one initial assessment and follow up sessions. You will also be supporting patients on low calorie diets and those using weight loss pharmacotherapy.
The successful candidate will:
* Have excellent communication skills – written, verbal and non-verbal, and listening skills.
* Sound knowledge of delivering weight management interventions and advising on weight loss to special populations
* Emotionally sensitive and empathetic to members of the public accessing our service.
* Able to drive and have access to a car with business insurance to travel to clinics.
* Have the right to work in the UK
We would like to hear from you if you are experienced in:
* Ability to direct and co-ordinate programmes of care working autonomously and collaboratively.
* Ability to manage own caseload of patients.
* Ability to produce detailed, accurate and evidence-informed patient nutrition care plans.
* Ability to translate complex nutritional information into a format that is appropriate and understandable for patients to support compliance with healthy eating intervention and advice.
* A commitment to continuous service improvement with expert insight into patients’ needs, so that all patients receive high quality care.
* Passionate about putting patients first and delivering a high-quality service.
* Proven ability to relate, motivate and confidently engage individuals in activities and discussion as part of a group and in a 1:1 situation.
* Ability to work independently and manage own workload; able to work effectively and supportively as a multi-disciplinary team member.
